About Me
Student to Online Tutor
As a student myself, I understand how challenging education can be so I created SageStudy to provide students with affordable and personalised tutoring to aid them in their studies.
My Story
I am thrilled to offer online tutoring services as my passion for English and Sociology has driven me towards this path. My love for English was evident when I scored 9s (A*) at GCSE, drawn to novels such as 'Lord of the Flies' and 'A Christmas Carol' and feeling compelled to engage with creative writing used in English Language. In college, I explored new subjects and found my true calling in Sociology, which taught me to view society through a critical lens. My Sociology teacher was a great inspiration and motivated me to pursue further studies in this field at University. While at University, I was introduced to my love of English once again through my discovery module allowing me to restore my previous passion from GCSE level alongside my degree in Sociology, Social Policy and Crime.

My Journey to becoming an Online Tutor
When I discovered that a friend was tutoring, I became interested in the idea. At the time, I was unemployed and looking for work, so tutoring seemed like an attractive option. I applied to several tutoring platforms and was accepted as a tutor on MyTutor. It was through this experience that I grew to love tutoring, connecting with students, and offering helpful advice. Months later I met Hannah, an English teacher, who was looking for help with her online tutoring business. Hannah and I collaborated on a KS3-GCSE course for English students, which was a hit! These rewarding experiences inspired me to start my own tutoring business. Fast forward to today, I have completed over 100 lessons in KS3- A level tutoring and intend to expand my services to more students.
